Supported Devices & Browsers
Dugout Master is a web app. There is nothing to download from an app store: open app.dugoutmaster.com in a browser and, if you like, add it to your home screen. Because it runs in the browser, what matters is not the age of the device but the version of the browser on it.
Minimum requirements
Section titled “Minimum requirements”| Device | Requirement |
|---|---|
| iPhone and iPad | iOS or iPadOS 16 or later. Safari, Chrome, and every other iOS browser use the same engine, so the OS version is what counts. |
| Android phones and tablets | Chrome 105 or later (or Samsung Internet 20+). Chrome updates itself through the Play Store on Android 8 and newer. |
| Amazon Fire tablets | Works in the built-in Silk browser. Fire OS does not allow web apps to be installed to the home screen, so bookmark the app instead. |
| Mac | Safari 16 or later (macOS Ventura 13 or newer, or Big Sur 11 with Safari updated), or a current Chrome, Edge, or Firefox. |
| Windows and ChromeOS | Chrome or Edge 105 or later, or Firefox 110 or later. |
Any device that meets these requirements is fully supported, including the game-day lineup board, printing, and home-screen installation.
Updating your device
Section titled “Updating your device”-
iPhone or iPad: open Settings → General → Software Update and install the newest version offered. If your iPad tops out at iPadOS 16, that is enough.
-
Android: open the Play Store, search for Chrome, and tap Update if it is offered. On most devices Chrome updates automatically.
-
Mac: open System Settings → General → Software Update. Safari updates with macOS.
-
After updating, open app.dugoutmaster.com again. If you had added the app to your home screen, remove the old icon and add it again so the fresh version is installed.
”I only see a spinning wheel”
Section titled “”I only see a spinning wheel””A blue screen with the Dugout Master logo and a spinner that never goes away almost always means the browser is older than the requirements above. Newer versions of Dugout Master replace that spinner with a message telling you so; older copies cached on the device may still show the spinner. Updating the device fixes it.
If your device already meets the requirements and the app still does not load after about 15 seconds, a Reload button appears. Check that you are online and tap it. If the problem continues, email support@dugoutmaster.com with the device model, its OS version, and the browser you are using.
Adding Dugout Master to your home screen
Section titled “Adding Dugout Master to your home screen”Installing the app to the home screen gives you a full-screen experience with its own icon. It is optional; the app works the same way in a normal browser tab.
- iPhone or iPad (Safari): tap the Share button, then Add to Home Screen.
- Android (Chrome): tap the ⋮ menu, then Install app or Add to Home screen.
- Mac, Windows, ChromeOS (Chrome or Edge): click the install icon at the right end of the address bar.
- Amazon Fire tablets: not available. Fire OS does not support installing web apps. Bookmark the app in Silk and open it from there.
