GameChanger Calendar Sync

If your team already schedules games and practices in GameChanger, you can sync that schedule into Dugout Master instead of re-entering it by hand.

The GameChanger stats import screen

  1. In GameChanger, find your team’s calendar link (ICS/webcal URL).
  2. On your Dugout Master team dashboard, find the GameChanger card and paste the link in.

The link is saved on your active season.

Open Sync from the same dashboard card. Dugout Master fetches the calendar feed and compares it against your existing games and practices for the season. Use the scope toggle to sync Games + Practices, Games only, or Practices only.

  • New items — listed individually with an Import button, or use Import all. New games get default lineup/bench innings generated from your team’s field configuration automatically.
  • Changed items — if a synced game or practice moved time, changed duration, or changed location on GameChanger, it’s listed under “Updates from calendar” with a diff and a Re-sync button (or Re-sync all).
  • Already synced — items that match with no changes are shown read-only.

Anything Dugout Master imported before is remembered by the calendar’s own ID, so a game that gets rescheduled — even to a different week — updates the game you already have instead of importing a second copy. Games imported before this was added, and feeds that don’t publish IDs, fall back to matching on start time (within 30 minutes) plus opponent/title and location; those get linked up the first time you apply an update to them.

  • Repeating practices — a weekly practice on GameChanger imports as every session on the calendar, not just the first one.
  • Cancelled events — anything marked cancelled in GameChanger is left out rather than imported as a scheduled game.
  • Scrimmages — imported with the scrimmage flag already set.
  • Tournaments — tournament and showcase entries come across as games instead of being skipped.
  • Home vs away — read from the matchup title (Tigers at Wildcats, Wildcats vs Tigers). Dugout Master uses your team name to work out which side is the opponent, so your own team never lands in the opponent field.

The dashboard card shows Last synced and flags the sync as stale after 3 days.
