Collecting Payment
If your event has a fee, Dugout Master can show families the amount and a button for the payment app you already use. You get paid directly. Dugout Master never receives, holds or checks the money, and never asks for a password or bank details.
Set it up
Section titled “Set it up”Once, for your team — open Settings → Team & Organization → Payment Methods and add the ways you accept payment:
- Venmo, PayPal and Cash App — tap a method’s card and paste whatever you have (
@coachjohn,paypal.me/coachjohn,$coachjohnor a full profile link all work). The card shows the logo and a QR code, and the window has Open link / Copy link buttons so you can check it. - Other — a name like Zelle, plus a link or instructions.
Use a card’s ⋮ menu to Disable a method — it stays saved but isn’t offered — or to remove it.
On each event — open the event and find the Payment card:
- Turn on This event requires payment and enter the Registration fee.
- Switch on which of your payment methods this event offers. You only choose here — accounts are edited in Settings → Payment Methods, so changing your Venmo there updates every event.
- Need something just for this event (a check, a tournament account)? Turn on Add another payment method for this event.
- Choose where the payment information shows.
No payment methods yet? The card links straight to Settings → Team & Organization → Payment Methods.
Where it shows
Section titled “Where it shows”| Setting | What families see | Default |
|---|---|---|
| After registration | The fee, each method’s logo and handle, a QR code and a Pay with Venmo / PayPal / Cash App button on the confirmation screen, right after they register. | On |
| On the public event page | The fee and the accepted methods under the event details. | Off |
| On the team’s public page | The fee and accepted methods beside the event. | Off |
Registering always comes first — nobody is asked to pay before they’ve registered.
Tracking who has paid
Section titled “Tracking who has paid”Because Dugout Master can’t see your Venmo or PayPal account, you confirm payments. On the Registrations tab, each registration has a separate Payment status next to its registration status:
| Payment status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Awaiting payment | The family was shown how to pay. |
| Reported paid | The family tapped I’ve Completed Payment. That’s their word — nothing has been verified. |
| Payment confirmed | You saw the money arrive and marked it. Only you can do this. |
| Not received | You didn’t see a payment. The family can tap I’ve Completed Payment again. |
Open a registration to change its payment status, or tick several and use Set Payment. You can filter the list by payment status, and the CSV export includes it.
