Game Results
After a game ends, you can record the outcome. Dugout Master keeps it simple: enter a score and the result is calculated for you, or just pick the result directly if you don’t track scores.
How to record a result
Section titled “How to record a result”Tap the scoreboard in the game header, or open the ··· menu and choose Set Result.
The Record Game Outcome modal opens.
Score vs. result
Section titled “Score vs. result”You have two options:
Enter a score
Section titled “Enter a score”Type in the team score and opponent score. Dugout Master automatically derives the result:
| Team score | Opponent score | Result | |-----------|----------------|--------| | Higher | Lower | Win | | Lower | Higher | Loss | | Equal | Equal | Tie |
The score is displayed in the game header scoreboard for the rest of the session.
Pick a result without a score
Section titled “Pick a result without a score”If you don’t track scores (common in youth recreation leagues), tap Win, Loss, Tie, or Forfeit directly. No score entry required.
Forfeits
Section titled “Forfeits”Forfeits are handled as a special case. If a game was forfeited:
- With a score: Check Mark as Forfeit after entering the score.
- Without a score: Tap Forfeit in the result picker.
Either way, the game is recorded as a forfeit and shown with an F badge.
Season record
Section titled “Season record”Recorded results count toward your season record (W–L–T), visible on the season overview page. Scrimmages and forfeits are tracked separately.
Editing a result
Section titled “Editing a result”You can change the result at any time by tapping the scoreboard header and updating it in the modal.
